As she grows, Maya is always finding new and "fun" ways to spend the day at home with me and Jude. One of her latest loves is "Hide & Seek." We have A LOT of training to do yet on the specifics of the game, but she has the general idea figured out. She has about 3 favorite hiding spots that she frequents so the game itself is usually pretty short....and predictable.
My favorite part of the game is when it's my turn to hide. I always hide somewhere different which seems to baffle her!! Just HOW did I ever think to hide there?? That's not one of the "designated" hiding spots! She'll just laugh when she finds me and then tells me it's my turn to count and that she's going to hide there this time. Thus, the problem......her mouth always gets her into trouble in this game.
The other day, I was pretending to look for her (because I knew where she was) and I said "Well, I don't think Maya's in here" to myself and I hear a whisper come from behind the chair in Jude's room "Yes I am" ever so quietly. It was HILARIOUS! Or when I said "Hmmmmm, maybe Maya's under the bed" and I hear "No, I'm in the closet" yelled from inside the closet. It just cracks me up that she really doesn't get it!
And you'd better watch out if it's your turn to hide cause she loves to say "Ready or Not, Here I Come" SOOOO much that she can usually only wait until 2 or 3 to say it, so you have to run like the wind to find a spot....and fast!! And Jude always gives our spots away cause he hasn't figured the "rules" out yet either. Kids! Lol!
