My Future Broadway Star
While driving into Bloomington this morning to shop, we were listening to Pandora's Rent Radio. I love it for its wide array of Broadway show tunes and TV/Movie soundracks also. The song "Defying Gravity" from Wicked began to play. Maya immediately perked up and stated that this was "our favorite" song and she clapped excitedly. I drove in silent awe as my little girl danced, bobbbed her head back and forth, and sang her little heart out to this song. Watching and listening to her just melted my heart. She has such a passion for music and dancing, which I'm sure many children her age do. It was so beautiful to see her just looking out the window singing happily along. She had no idea she was being watched which made it all the more wonderful. She was right on key and just too cute for words. I love these moments of motherhood.

Maya is a chip off the old block, Mommy! We have the same experience with her when she's in our car. She hears 1 or 2 notes of a song and she yells out the movie it's from and starts singing along. I usually can't even hear the song and she's pegged it already. She likes to "move it, move it!" Sweet blog!
